In the Northern-most points on the globe, the Sun does not even set and and there is light for 24 hours. It is a day of celebrating the Sun, since this is the longest day of the year.

The Sun represents the Atma or one form of consciousness in Vedic astrology. The Sun also represents our health, overall vitality, immune system and longevity in Vedic astrology.  If you have a well placed Sun in your Vedic birth chart, then you might be blessed with a strong body, immune system or longevity.

Sun Salutations are one way of connecting and building the Solar energies in your body.  So, doing Sun Salutations can build immunity, vitality and create healing rhythms in your body.

Of course, Sun Salutation is best done at Sunrise. Today, it is being done all day in Times Square.
